While our sensors are designed for a direct fit, we strongly recommend having the replacement performed by a certified Porsche specialist or a professional technician. Proper torque and clearance (especially near the oil cooler) are critical for the long-term reliability of the PADM system.

For specific models like the 981 GT4, please note the difference in accessibility:
- Left Side (Driver’s Side in US/LHD): The sensor can typically be replaced in situ without removing the transaxle mount.
- Right Side: Due to the proximity of the external oil cooler, space is extremely limited. It is necessary to partially remove or loosen the transaxle mount to gain sufficient clearance for the sensor replacement.

When a PADM fault occurs on your Porsche, can you still drive it?
The vehicle is still drivable, but dynamic handling performance will decrease, resulting in noticeable abnormal noise and vibration. It is recommended to replace the PADM sensor as soon as possible to avoid the impact of long-term abnormal vibrations on surrounding components.

Will the other mount work normally when a PADM fault occurs on one side?
The other side will work normally, but due to a relatively large load, it may break down in a short period of time.

Installation tip (for Type B):
Remove the center nut from the 718 engine bracket, which will make it much easier to remove the bracket, especially the nut on the right side.
